C/I Interference Analysis Tool
In order to run C/I Analysis, you must use the following method:
The C/I Interference Analysis Tool calculates interference between two satellite network systems
in a particular frequency band. Let these be called Network A (wanted) and Network B (other).
- Produce an MSMI report for Network A. The best way to
do this is to select the network from within SatQuery and then use the Send
Data To option.
- Produce an MSMI report for Network B.
- Open C/I Interference Analysis Tool either by creating a new C/I
spreadsheet in Excel using the C/I Analysis Tool template or by opening the master C/I
spreadsheet file 'C-I Interference Analysis Tool.xls' located in the C-I subdirectory found in
the Sat-Coord directory (this is by default C:/Program Files/Sat-Coord/C-I/). Note that
if using the second method it is essential that you save the new analysis under a new filename
so as to avoid over-writing the master sheet.
- Paste the wanted and interfering network MSMI reports into the
C/I Analysis tool in the appropriate places (for a movie demonstration of this click here).
- Enter the analysis options.
- Save the C/I analysis
Now your C/I sheet is completed.
Never overwrite the template C/I Interference Analysis Tool Master Template which comes with Sat-Coord,
since this is the starting template for any future C/I sheets. It is read-only by default. If you
have accidentally over-written the master C/I template, follow
these instructions.
